Today was friggen crazy. I work for a teacher supply store and the summer is our craziest and busiest time of the year. So today was our first day of our Biggest Sale Ever!! LOL ... and well we are very understaffed because the owner wanted me to cut hours and well people just didn't want to work. I stood for 6 hours straight checking people out. Customers were getting soo pissed. I'm like I am do the best I can fucking do with 3 other girls. The line literally wrapped around the store. Not to mention the owner is on a CRUISE in ALASKA! I hate her. She calls today from the boat saying "Goodluck"... like seriously fuck you. UGH!!!
Other than that today was my grandpa's 87th birthday so we went out to dinner to celebrate. It was nice!
I know I sent you girls the website with the invitations for our engagement party, but I'll post it again because we got them in the mail the other day and I am so excited!!

My cooperating teacher from my Practicum semester that I just finished took me out with two of the other first grade teachers I got to know last night and we had such a great time! I am student teaching with her next semester too. She is amazing. I got really lucky with such a great teacher. I have heard HORROR stories about student teacher's with their co-op teachers. But I got really lucky!

Ok that's all for now. I am going to go watch Dear John. I am going to an ice cream party at the school I was in for Practicum tomorrow for an ice cream party. My co-op teacher and the first graders invited me. It should be cute!
Wow! I totally know how the short-handed thing goes with lines wrapped around the corner. The store I work at, well its a big chain and the guys on top don't give a rats ass about anyone else so they always cut hours so they can have more money. So theres like never enough people and lines get super long and customers get pissed. And then you have the people who are slow as molasses when checking people out so you have to pick up from their slacking off.

ReplyDeleteSo I just watched Dear John and I cried my eyes out till the end when I realized they changed the whole ending. But the real ending of the book is a special feature. HELLO!!! lol

ReplyDeleteI was disappointed with Dear John, to be honest. When I was reading the book, I cried for the last 50 pages, probably. I cried watching the movie, too, but mainly over the scenes with his dad. My oldest nephew has aspbergers, so it really hit home for me.
I haven't seen the movie yet. I read the books like 2 years ago. How different is the ending?

ReplyDeleteI love the Cherry blossom stuff! Dear John, I can't read it or watch the movie. Too emotional for me because it hits to close to home. Jerame and I were seperated like this while we were dating while he was in the Marines and I have boxes and boxes of the letters that we wrote to each other during our time apart. The toughest time for us was when he was sent overseas on what they call a "float". He was put on a ship and sent to the Med. Sea to just be there in case something happened. There was a time when they were off the coast of Somailia for 45 days there was no incoming or outgoing mail. I had no contact with him for 45 days and I didn't know if he safe and it was horrible. I couldn't watch Dear John because of it
ReplyDeleteOh wow Kym. I mean it was a good movie before the ending. But I couldn't imagine being away from Greg for that long and not knowing if he was going to be ok.
ReplyDeleteAww Kym! Thats so sad! I know I couldn't imagine being away from Seth for long. I hated when I was in school and he was back home. I actually transferred to a school like 20 mins from home so I could live at home so I could be closer to my family and him.
