I don't know about anyone else who is married here, but for some reason the girls I know that are brides too are trying to be competitive bitches. So I have this "friend" who got engaged over a year ago and it ridiculous that she tries to compete with me about the things that she has done for her wedding and stuff. Her fiancé upgraded her 1ct ring to a 2ct ring and had to come and show me. She didn't see my ring until then and she is like "oh it's so cute". SO CUTE!!! Really bitch! The ring is more than a ring to me it is a symbol of the commitment we have together and really doesn't matter how big it is. Ok so that was thing number 1.
So thing number 2. She is a biter...what I mean by biter is that she can't make any original plans on her own. She booked the same venue as my best friend did and tried to become friends with her. She booked the same photographer as two other girls we know that just got married. She just can't do any research on her own! So when she came in to visit me the other day I was talking about the venue my best friend got married at. I liked the place but the ceremony area was too small for me. It's nice but too small for me and plus I don't want to get married in the same place my best friend got married at. as you can see it is beautiful. So she calls my best friend and said that she wants to change her venue place to this the Florentine Gardens. But here is the thing. She wants to get married on 11-11-11 so obviously it is going to be so much more money!!! Thing number 2. So just because I got a good price on the one place she wants to change it now. UGH!
So thing number 3. I sound like Dr.Seuss. Anyway... So now this girl we both know just got married and tonight she is going to be on "Say Yes to the Dress" I don't know if you know that show but they film it at Klienfelds in NYC. She she texts me this morning saying "Nicole is going to be on Say Yes to the Dress tonight" and I said "Yea I know" then she says "I hope I got to be on TV" and then I said "Are you going to Klienfelds to get your dress" and she is like "Yea"... like I can't with this girl. So irritating. Be ORIGINAL!!! Like what the fuck!!

ReplyDeleteI planned everything by myself mostly and i dont really care about competition and the most spectacular things. We wanted a budget wedding with a great party with family and friends. and thats exactly what we got. I couldnt have asdked for more.
I dont really understand people wo feel this need to give a huge party with lots of people they hardly know and with expensive flowers and catering, just to show off.
I don't understand either. Well let me tell you I am not telling her any other details. She is such a bitter.

Whew! That girl is annoying me & I don't even know her. Mine was pretty simple. My use-to-be close friend got married a couple years later & she pulled the petty ring crap on me. BTW - I think your ring is beautiful...elegant. ;)

Anyone can put a big rock on a ring, it doesn't make it look good. I'm amazed every time guys are able to pick rings that fit their (to be) fiancée so good!
I know she really is just annoying. And Yes Ash that is her Nicole. LOL. She is a real bitch though. I never liked her in high school.

Shan- Thanks! I really love my ring. I don't care how big it is. It is the meaning the counts. If you have to start putting a price on love then your relationship is doomed. In my opinion.

ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, your ring is beautiful. And the size isn't the most important thing. I've looked at rings for the hell of it and it seems most of the bigger rocks aren't even that pretty. I'm pretty simple. All I ask is if he proposes that he at least spend more on my ring than his ex since they were engaged for a bit. lol
